NHS 111 – is a service which enables you to access the local out of hours healthcare service for urgent medical conditions which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens as set out in the section on opening hours.
The above out-of-hours service can be reached by calling 111 and is available 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
All calls from a landline and mobiles are free.
Accident & Emergency 999 – whatever time of the day, if you experience or suspect that someone has chest pain, loss of blood, acute sudden onset of shortness of breath, or if someone is unconscious or has been involved in a serious accident – then please make your way to the nearest A&E department if able to do so safely or call 999.
These departments are open 24hr a day, 365 days each year.
Nearest Walk In Centre – The nearest Walk In Centre is called The Park Community Walk-In-Centre and is located at Horn Street, Hanson Lane, Halifax, HX1 5UA (tel: 014223998581). It is staffed by experienced nurses for treatment of minor injuries and illnesses seven days a week and you do not require an appointment to access their services.
